Project: Key Message Bank

Challenge:Carbon Down needed to develop a bank of key messages that staff could access and ensure that all carbon, climate change and sustainability related communication from Carbon Down was accurate and consistent.
It was imperative that all messages were appropriate to the needs and level of understanding of Victorian small and medium businesses. They also needed to short, sharp and easily understandable.


Solution: Brand Shaper developed an extensive list of key messages for Carbon Down to use in their carbon, climate change and sustainability related communication.
Brand Shaper also aligned all messages to Carbon Down’s key knowledge objectives and categorised them under nine key themes to allow Carbon Down staff using the message bank to easily find the messages that they require.
The key message bank ensures that Carbon Down is producing consistent and accurate communication relating to the three key topic areas of carbon, climate change and sustainability.

Deliverables:

  • Development and categorisation of approximately 70 key messages

Results: Working with Brand Shaper on the first phase of our message back project has been terrific – we’ve worked in partnership every step of the way and Carbon Down has greatly benefited from the knowledge Brand Shaper have bought to the table.  We now have a bank of messages that reflect the current evidence base that we will shape and refine in light of our existing intelligence, position and the market place.
