Client: VECCI / Carbon Down (2010)

Project: Carbon Down 2 Year Review

Challenge: VECCI through its Carbon Down programs has a particular focus on helping small to medium enterprises (SME’s) find new ways of thinking and operating in a carbon constrained economy, reduce their environmental impacts and save money whilst doing so.
Carbon Down have enhanced Victorian businesses’ awareness and understanding of climate change and sustainability and the related impacts, risks and opportunities.
It is essential that a review takes place to provide an understanding of the levels of engagement and learnings the Carbon Down programs have managed to instil amongst Victorian SME’s.


Solution: Brand Shaper developed a timeline map of Carbon Down programs aligned with major influencing factors and SME attitudes and behaviour from July 2008 through to June 2010.
The time line map consisted of several components of information:

  • Carbon Down activities, campaigns and programs
  • Media activity relating to Carbon Down, carbon, sustainability, climate change and any related subjects (e.g. environment, green washing, clean tech etc)
  • Key economical, social and political activities (international, national & state)
  • KAB research mapping knowledge, attitude and behaviour of Victorian SME’s (qualitative and quantitative)

Deliverables:

  • An A3 map showing a mutlitude of information overlaid to build a very concise and clear picture.
