Challenge: Create an event where people passionate about sustainability can come together to discuss ideas and gain inspiration, ideas, and support in this sometimes overwhelming industry. Create a brand identity that is professional and clearly communicates combination of relaxed yet focused atmosphere of the Drinks. Manage all aspects of the Sustainability drinks Australia.

Solution: The first drinks were held in Melbourne Aug 07 through the joining of 5 like minded people to discuss their roles in sustainability and the challenges and opportunities they faced over a relaxed drink. It has grown to being held in 4 major cities in Australia with calls for further expansion. Today Sustainability Drinks Australia now grown to having over 3500 subscribers.


The event has received media presence and is promoted through media and many other organisations. It is considered to be a very beneficial event for people working in, interested in or looking to work in sustainability and all related fields. Great success stories have come through people connecting at Sustainability Drinks Australia with 57% of respondents of a survey in 2008 indicated that Sustainability Drinks in Melbourne had been the vehicle for outcomes, advancement or some action toward a more sustainable future; partnerships and alliances, new jobs, funding for sustainability projects and relationships. Each monthly event has a guest speaker that shares their sustainability story. Sustainability Drinks Australia is promoted using digital media.
